Odoo Studio is the right tool when you’re an Odoo Enterprise admin who wants to rename a field, add a column to a list view, tweak a kanban card, or reorder a form— and when the change is small enough that you’ll never need to version-control it, migrate it, or compose it with other logic. For that prototyping-scale workload, Studio’s drag-and-drop UI is genuinely faster than writing a module.

Can I migrate what I’ve already built in Odoo Studio into Odin?

Partly. Odin can re-implement Studio customizations as clean Python/XML modules — you describe the behaviour (or share a Studio export) and Odin writes the equivalent source code, then deploys it to a sandbox for you to review. Odin doesn’t yet auto-convert arbitrary Studio database records into modules; most teams treat the migration as an opportunity to consolidate inconsistencies accumulated in Studio and clean up field naming at the same time.

Is Odin more expensive than Odoo Studio?

Odoo Studio feels free because it’s bundled into your Odoo Enterprise licence — but that licence is the floor. Odin’s Starter plan is lower than a single month of Enterprise for small teams, and a full year of Pro costs less than one small Odoo agency sprint. The real comparison isn’t Odin vs Studio — it’s Odin vs your Odoo developer hours or agency invoice.
